RIP Alec Hayter 1944 – 2020. A tribute.
It is with great regret that the Salisbury FC Supporters’ Club have to announce the sad death of Alec Hayter on 18th December 2020. Alec was the Press Officer and programme editor for SFC and a great supporter of the Supporters’ Club and all its activities. Personally, he was a good friend of mine and we shared the joys and frustrations of producing programmes for home games and we travelled many times together to away games. Alec was a kind, honest gentleman, with great knowledge of the non-league game, gentle in his approach but firm in his beliefs and I for one will miss him very much and everyone who knew him, will feel the same. It is a sad day for football and especially for Salisbury Football Club. Rest easy my friend and thank you for your friendship. Alec Hayter 1944 – 2020 RIP. Gary Nunn Dec 18th 2020
